Family Week 2012: Day 1

It is an annual routine for our family to have one week of the year for ourselves. We can go anywhere we want: no boundaries, as long as we can handle the adventure and travelling. This year, we decided to visit some landmarks here in Victoria, and maybe go further one state every year. 

The first day of our family week is composed of three itineraries: Lunch at Frankston Beach, Strawberry Picking at Sunny Ridge Farm and Relaxation / Spa at Peninsula Hot Springs.

Strawberry Picking at Sunny Ridge Farm

We were all excited to pick strawberries as we arrived but when we found out that there aren't anymore good strawberries in the first house we went to we were disappointed. We then moved to another house and luckily there are more strawberries in that area. I swear the strawberries in there were the sweetest and the reddest! As for me, I prefer the maroon and soft ones. They're probably the sweetest among all of the strawberries at sight.

Each one was given punnet for the strawberries to be picked. I personally enjoyed strawberry picking because I get to eat strawberries picked by my own hands, straight from the trees. It was a delightful activity for me and for everyone.

Spa at Peninsula Hot Springs

 Last but not the least, the Spa! It was the most relaxing place to be when you've been out going to the beach and picking strawberries. I must say that it is indeed the best way to conclude a tiring yet awesome first family week day.

2013 Agenda (One)

This year is about to end and one of the most popular traditions is the so-called “New Year’s Resolution.” Well a New Year’s Resolution is considered a promise to oneself, that oftentimes is not fulfilled. So instead of making a New Year’s Resolution, I will make an agenda of the things I wish to do, considering that these things will help me become a better person. I would like to share this to you, for you may feel like you also want to do it. You can also tweak things you didn’t like and change it to what favours you the most.

Three jars will be used for the first thing to do on the first day of 2013. The first jar will be called the “Positive Jar.” The second jar will be called the “Negative Jar.” And the third one will be called “The Jar of Wishes.”

The Positive Jar will consist of all the things, big or small, that have made you happy or smile, or made you feel positive throughout the year. For each thought or thing, you will have to write vague details on a small piece of paper which will be enough to make you remember the cause of your positiveness. Each paper should have the date, time and day of the said thought. After writing it, you then roll it and drop it inside the jar.

The same thing shall be done to the two jars, only in the Negative Jar, the things that would be written are the things you consider to have a negative effect on your life and being and The Jar of Wishes shall contain all you dreams and aspirations.

Lastly, The Jar of Randomness should contain all of the memories you wish not to forget. At the end of the year, you will read each piece of paper. As you read the Positive Jar, I’m sure all of you will smile again.

As for The Negative Jar, after reading, you can choose either to burn or throw these things away. This will symbolise that you have moved on and will never get affected by the same things again.

The Jar of Wishes is like a collection of the things you wish to be done in the upcoming year. This will then be the basis of the things you are determined to achieve. As you read through them, separate each in categories: the first is when you still feel that you want to do the wish, second if you are sure you don’t want to continue the dream, and third will be the indecisive category. Once finished, you can smile happily, proud of yourself because you have made it through another year. Stronger than ever.

And maybe you want to decorate your own jars to make it look appealing!

• Eksherada ang nanay mo kapag gingising ka sa umaga. Sasabihin alas-dose na pero alas onse palang.
• Kapag di mo maalala yung pangalan ng tinutukoy mo sasabihin mo "Si Ano"
• Hangga't pwede pang pagkasyahin sa jeep, tricycle oh motor eh gagawin.
• Gusto mo ang Balck Eyed Peas kasi Pilipino si Apl D Ap.

• Naniniwala ka na masamang magsayang ng pagkain.

Must Watch Romantic - Comedy Films

I've watched numerous films over the holidays and I kinda focused on romantic comedy films. Below is a list of the films I favoured the most and can't get over with.


1. Leap Year

Anna Brady plans to travel to Dublin, Ireland to propose to her boyfriend Jeremy on February 29, leap day, because, according to Irish tradition, a man who receives a marriage proposal on a leap day must accept it. 

2. Life as We Know It

Two single adults become caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident.

3. Confessions of a Shopaholic

A college grad lands a job as a financial journalist in New York City to support where she nurtures her shopping addiction and falls for a wealthy entrepreneur. 

4. Easy A

A clean-cut high school student relies on the school's rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

5. Crazy, Stupid Love

A middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a new-found friend, Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

Year End Thanksgiving 2012

As a member of the Church of Christ, one of the most awaited occasions of the year is our Thanksgiving. Months have been spent for waiting and practicing for hymns, and finally the special day has come. It highlights and sums up everything that has happened throughout the year: whether it be blessings, trials, hardships or success. The thanksgiving is an essential part of being a member of the Church of Christ, because it is where we receive the blessings of strength and guidance from our Almighty God.

Indeed it is a very special occasion filled with happiness, joy and blessings. All of us sharing this wonderful moment, another proof that we all have remained strong throughout the year.
